I believe that children's portraiture should capture the individuality of the child; a certain smile, gesture, the relationship with a special toy. It should capture a moment and be a true representation of what makes that child unique.

Having four children of my own, I realise that every child has their off days and won't necessarily perform to order! That's why I begin each shoot by building a rapport with the child before even getting out my camera - I want the shoot to be a fun, enjoyable experience for everyone.

I spend as long as necessary to get the right shots and am happy to come back another day if things aren't working.

Children's Portrait Photography

The best portraits are always achieved in an environment where the child is having fun, relaxed and happy - I leave this choice to you (your house, my house, in my studio, in the park?). I normally do a series of photographs around your home and outdoors so that at the end of the shoot you have a mix of different looking shots. The price of the shoot is £150 which includes my time, materials and processing.

Within two weeks of the shoot you will have your own web page so that you can view your images online. From there you pick your images. There are a multitude of things you can do with your photos and I can offer advice on this, but to give you an example:

5x7 hand printed photograph £25
10x8 hand printed photograph £35
Bespoke framing from £50
